North Dakota is known among other things fro it's abundance in archeological finds. Marmarth and Bowman contain 65-73 million year old dinosaur fossils, including triceratops and tyrannosaurus. Washburn has an 800-acre farm and ranch on the Lewis and Clark Trail, 5 miles from Washburn and the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center and Fort Mandan. Fort Clark Historic Site and Knife River Indian Villages nearby. Interesting and authentic activities that represent American Indian and immigrant civilizations during frontier and modern-day times. Golden Valley has a real working cattle ranch, cozy cabins, comfortable lodge, horseback riding, canoeing, home-cooked meals, campfires and western hospitality.
